BRAINSPOTTING

Your body already knows what your mind can’t explain
this is about working with that

Brainspotting is a body-led way of accessing what’s stored underneath  
not the story 
not the explanation  
the actual place your system is holding it.

It works with the subcortex  
the part of the brain where 
trauma and emotional patterns sit  
the part that doesn’t respond to logic 
but drives how you feel and react  

So this isn’t about talking things through again  
it’s about helping your system 
find the source and release it

you feel anxious and can’t fully explain why 
you’ve done the talking but your reactions haven’t changed  
you’re tired of going over the same things and want to actually feel different  
you can feel something there but can’t quite reach it

What Happens In a Session?

We use your eye position
to help your brain locate what’s ready to be processed
not by forcing it not by digging but by letting your system show us

It’s subtle  
you might notice
sensations
emotions
memories or
nothing at all at first  

You don’t need to explain everything  
you don’t need to make sense of it  
you just stay with what comes up
and let your body do what it already knows how to do  


How is it different to talk therapy?

There is some talking  but we’re not working at the level of the thinking mind 

We’re working deeper  

in the midbrain  
where your emotional responses are actually driven from    

That’s why it can reach things 
that talking alone hasn’t shifted

Brainspotting and REMAP

Brainspotting works with what your system is holding underneath  
it helps your body process and release what’s there  

REMAP is different  
it’s more direct  
we take a specific trigger and remove the emotional charge from it  
so your system stops reacting the same way

Both work below the level of the thinking mind  
just in slightly different ways

Working with me and Brainspotting

I use Brainspotting a lot within my work  
it’s one of the ways we go behind the trigger
and work at the level your system is actually responding from  

It can also be booked as a standalone session
if that’s what you’re looking for  
with a minimum of 2 sessions  
Sessions can be online via Zoom or in person in West Sussex

Brainspotting sessions start from £90 for 60 minutes
